Evidence of Planning

This is what we have been brainstorming for how we were going to do the costumes and how we can link Cultural , Environmental , Social and Economic Sustainability into our show.

Below is a plan of what we are thinking of doing for our costumes that we are designing:

Below is a plan of what questions we need to address when making the costumes:

These are some brainstorms about costume ideas:

This is what we decided were our five main questions to lead our inquiry:

Questions and Brainstorms - Cadence

Sustainability big questions, around the production and showing sustainability through this.
1.How can we make the community apart of the costume sustainability process/ idea?
2. How can we show sustainability in our costumes?
3.How can be creative and think outside the box when making the costumes?
4.How do we make the characters realistic, bring them to life. How to make them so everyone can clearly tell what character they are?
5.What do we need to do to be efficient, especially time management wise?

For economic we looked at the money profit going into the community to help being more sustainable and thrift shopping/ up cycling. Also a brainstormed idea was using the resources efficiently.

Some ideas from the environment were, reduce, reuse and recycle, saving the environment for the future, working towards minimal waste and energy usage, encouragement of sustainable behaviour and respecting  nature.

Social sustainability was the hardest but the main ideas were making the community a nice safe and clean place for people and making a community people want to live in not are forced/ have to live.

Ideas For Customs

Ideas

We had to come up with ideas about what we could make the customs out of. We could have the weirdest ideas that we could come up with.

Brain storm

Sustainability

sustainability matters to me because..

sustainability means to me coming together as a community

I want to change...

I want to change the way people do things

Because..

It is not fear for the future generation that are going to have to live in the world that we create

My big projects goal I am working towards is...

I am working toward putting all my ideas forward

Questions!!

As a goup of 3 we got together and started to create as many questions as we could. We thought about what we would need for the show and how we could achieve that. I believe that doing this helped us in seeing what we need to acheive by the end of the show and it made us see how much work we have to do in such a short amount of time.

Sustainability Brainstorming

In our groups we had to brainstorm how we thought we could use sustainability in the show and costumes. We looked at the 4 main area's, cultural, economic, enviromental and social. Below are our brainstorms.

Alice and Mad Hatter

Georgia and I were working on the costumes and concepts for Alice and Mad Hatter. We belive that we should step away from the stereotypical designs and be adventurous with our ideas. We are going to be documenting our idea's through pintrest and we have been brainstorming questions that will let us go deeper in our thinking around the characters personalities.

Rebecca - Sustainability

Sustainability matters to me because if we don't do anything now then the world will be a dirty place and because we live in an awesome world that deserves to be looked after.
I want to be able to try and help people see that when they litter it isn't what is good for the world and that they can do many other things that are much better than to just throw it on the ground. I want this because when people from other countries come to different countries then they would want it to be clean and nice for them to enjoy.
My big project goal that I am working towards is having a go at something that I haven't done before, because for all my other big projects I have been in the work shop.
I will need support with some times being on task if sometimes working with friend, and my time management.

Sustainability

Sustainability

Sustainability matters to me because in the future you might find it hard to look up at the stars because the air will be too polluted.
I would like to help clean up the world because then the world would be a cleaner place and you would have more land to build houses for the homeless.
My BP goals is to push my bounders and not just sit back and let everyone do the work.
I would need support with sharing my ideas and being able to be comfortable with sharing them.

Week 1 - Sustainability

Sustainability matters to me because heedless waste and careless consumption in the face of our planet is stupid, to put it bluntly. We're all aware of the increasing weather diversity, the population boom, and the continual divide between the haves and the have-nots; and yet we act like we can get around to fixing the world tomorrow, or maybe the day after, or the day after that.
Nothings' gonna change unless we change it. And that means small things, like being aware of what we consume.
'Waste not, want not' as it's said.

I want to work on the Tea Party(The Mad Hatter, the Mad March Hare, and the Dormouse.) and the Grimalkin (Cheshire Cat) costumes, to turn the traditional band of loons into something recognizably unique. I'd also like to work on Grimalkin to create a costume that accurately represents Grim's character, rather than a furry onesie or traditional fluffy Grimalkin costume.

My big project goal is to create designs with a focus towards the 3 Rs, and avoid buying anything new if at all possible.

I may need help with collaboration and people skills if I'm not the only one working on a costume piece.

Cadences sustainabilty reflection

Sustainability ...

Sustainability matters to me because I think that our world already suffers from unnecessary actions of us humans and is being destroyed. I believe that even the smallest amount of change can make a difference and starting by making people aware in our community will inspire others to be sustainable. I want us as a society to be better and improve the way we live,, because everyone has at least one thing to change to be more sustainable.
My Big Project goal I am working towards is creating unique and different costumes while incorporating being sustainable.
I need support with time management and have a clear plan.

Sustainability Reflection

Sustainability matters to me because of many valid and important reasons. One being that sustainability is something that we as the dominant race on the earth must take into account when it comes to our happiness and our future. Sustainability means to be meaningful and impactful with everything we do for example... making less waste by not using or buying plastic wrappers and packages and especially not disposing of them incorrectly, another example is by reusing things that you can reuse instead of maybe throwing them away, this helps the waste intake and ensures that we aren't being neglectful to what we can make better in this world.
My big project goal is to make a difference with the costumes we make and design to show sustainability to the community and show them how much it means to us as a collective school through our school show.
I will need help with some sewing skills if we do, do sewing.
