Final Reflection

This is the rose bud thron form I filled out for my final reflection
My big project

what is your most important learning from this project? why?

Thinking  what I am going the use first

What was the most important expenience for you in this project? why?

Think first
Because I didn't think what marite I am going to use.

Overall reflection

This photo is a photo of my overall reflection and claim with reasons and objectives.

What is my most important learning from this project, this would probably be how to recycle and reuse materials and items that we use everyday, making how we live more sustainable. I've learnt to appreciate time and fit in planning. Its challenge me to think outside the box and be resilient.
How do I think differently now than you did before? I think more and look at sustainability differently, I look at it in a positive view and think about reusing materials and recycling. I am definitely more aware of sustainability at home and in our community.

Final Reflection After the Show

I feel that the show was good because it was able to provoke different ideas and ways of doing things as we had different ways of making the costumes.

Overall I feel that the show went well, despite the setbacks of the different aspects that we had to overcome.

Next time, I would have started with more initiative than what I had started with for this Big Project, as I wasn't really sure what to expect.

What is your most important learning from this project?-  That something great can come from so little to work with. I apply this to the fact that we had unconventional materials to make the costumes from.

What was the most meaningful experience for you in this project?- Being able to design the way that the characters were to look in a more modern version of Wonderland.

How do you think differently than you did before? Why? - I think that this has made me feel differently about how costumes can be made because we were told to make the costumes, out of ordinary things like plastic bags or cardboard.

Final Reflection from the Show Experience

This is a photo of my overall experience at the show for the costumes and makeup.

Final Reflection - Petra

Overall Reflction

This is my reflection on the school show.

I chose this photo because I feel like the skirt stayed together and it was really pretty on stage and no fans feel off.

I chose this photo because it shows the dress in a different light. As well as seeing what it would be like outside.

Questions:
What is your most important learning from this project? Why?
That there will be changes to the design and what someone would want something different than what you make.

What is the most meaningful experience for you in this project? Why?
That there are deadlines that you need to get to and that you have to have everything ready even if you have to put in a lot of extra time and effort into it.

How do you think differently now than you did before? Why?
I think now that it is important to be sustainable and not just to think that everything will be all right without hard work.

Overall Reflection

Overall reflection

- The reason I chose this photo is because, these were the two characters I needed to create costumes for. The Frog and the Fish Footman. This photo reminds me of all the work I put in to those two costumes, right from the start.

What is your most important learning from this project?
-The most important learning from this project would be time management. How to use time wisely. How much time we needed to plan, then find materials, then actually creating the final costume. Also finishing things on time.

What was the most meaningful experience for you in this project?
-The most meaningful experience in this project would be the final show for Alice in Wonderland. This is because, you got to see all the costumes finished and everything come together. Also seeing the audience enjoy you hard work creating the costume.

How do you think differently now than you did before? Why?
- I now think differently with, who to trust. Who to trust to get things done, who to trust to help you finish things, get materials and things like that. I personally thought I could trust many people but in reality they needed to do their own costumes and finish their own things.

Show time - Petra

After all the hard work and effort we put into the costumes and promotions of the show it's been really cool to see how it all turned out.
Some of the idea's that I first had for Alice and Mad Hatters costume didn't work out but we managed to find a way in which they all came together, whilst still showing some of the idea's.

I think our sustainability idea on Alice's costume looks really cool and gives her an effect that helps create her character as a 7yr old girl.

I'm really grateful to everyone who helped me and I'm looking forwards to next years show :)

Show experiences - Hannah

So yesterday we had our first show for the project out of four. The atmosphere was really exciting as everyone was preparing for the show. I helped out with a lot of hair. High ponytails, buns and a lot of teasing. It was a really cool experience.
It felt really good to see all the costumes come together after weeks of hard work. It gave everyone a sense of accomplishment. I am so excited for the next shows to come!

Costume Update

Hey everyone,

Today is show time, our production is running smoothly and all costumes and make-up is looking great. My costume is Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum and its going alright. I think I could have been a bit more organised when putting on enough makeup because they needed to have more rosey cheeks. So tonight I am going to check my actors/actresses to make sure they have everything they need and enough of it. Overall the show is going pretty well, not to many hickups and the costumes are looking great. Hopefully the next few nights go great as well.

Progress Reflection

Maariyah's Progress Reflection

What am I doing well?
I've finished my final sketches, I've figured out what materials I will use and have started my costumes for my frog and fish footman. I have started to use my own spare time to create my costume.

What could go better?

What I think could go better is finding all my materials faster. Also creating the fish costume. Another major thing that could go better is my time management, at the beginning i think I didn't use my time as much as I should but I've now have been using my time more wisely than before.

What questions do you know need to ask ?
How long will it take to finish the frog footman's jacket?
How I could keep all my materials recycled?
What time do I have free that I can use to create my costumes?

Progress Reflection

What is going well?
Being able to plan and think about what we can use to make our costumes out of, as well as starting to make the costumes out of recycled materials.

What could go better?
Using our time more wisely, in order to be able to make the costumes faster, as we have a deadline inn a few weeks.

What have you started/completed?
We have started with the Queen of Hearts, we have just started to make a panel for her dress, which is made from old plastic bags that  have been sewed together. How we will use this in the costume is  by layering the panels of bags that we have sewn together to get the full effect.

What questions do we need to ask about this?
How are we going to be able to finish all of our costumes on time?
What items are we going to need to make the costumes?
How will we manage ourselves effectively, so that we can make all of the costumes?

Progress Reflection - Petra

1. What is going well? What could go better?
Something that I think is going well is trying to work with others to create the best idea's that we can. I think something that could go better would be to try and create different and more creative design ideas so that we can get started on making the costumes as soon as possible.

2. What have you started? Completed? Next to do?
So far the things that we have started are the indepth planning and desinging of the costumes. Trying to figure out the different materials that we can use and trying to find ways to put them together to show and represent sustainability. Next we need to get more into the practical making of the costumes and start to put things together so that we get a finsihed product.

3. What questopns have you asked, answered, and now need to pursue?
Questions that I have asked have been more around how we can use resources the best possible way to create a good effect for people watching the final show and to show resourcefulness. I have talked to my peers, to Danielle, to my parents and then called some people outside of school to ask for their help in finding resources and creating cool and inspiring idea's. I now need to follow up with people to check on how things are going and get feedback for the different idea's that I have to then refine to make the idea's better.
